We promote academic achievement, athletic excellence, positive sportsmanship, and upstanding citizenship by providing the greatest education-based interscholastic athletics program.

Every student will attain the mental, moral, physical, and social-emotional skills to excel in the classroom, community, and the realm of competition.

Athletics Online Registration

  • It's a bird, it's a plane....no it's ON-LINE ATHLETIC REGISTRATION!! Starting Monday October 16, 2017, the myMCPS Parent Portal will have active links for Winter Athletic Registration both in English and en Español. Parents/guardians can go on-line and register their student athletes for winter sports at their local high school. The portal takes the place of almost all of the MCPS required specific forms for participation in the interscholastic athletics program, these forms are also available en Español online and through the portal.

  • Middle School Athletic Schedules for 2017-18 are available under the Events tab of the MCPS Athletics website.

Sports Insight

Check out "Sports Insight" on MCPSTV, a web and TV series about the MCPS high school and middle school athletics program. The monthly program provides a behind the scenes look at MCPS athletics, while highlighting student-athletes, teachers, coaches and support staff, covering a variety of topics like sportsmanship and community involvement.
